Partnerships are important to us. There is a place for everyone!
Partnerships matter to us at Jesus Said Love. They are central to everything we do. Partnership is not only a core value, but a culture. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 is the force behind partnership at Jesus Said Love: “It’s better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth. And if one falls down, the other helps, But if there’s no one to help, tough! Two in a bed warm each other. Alone, you shiver all night. By yourself you’re unprotected. With a friend you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn’t easily snapped.” (The Message)
We believe partnership is multi-dimensional word. We have defined four areas that formulate our view of partnership. Currently, our partnerships embrace one, two, or all of the following components.
TIME
We have volunteer opportunities for most ages and every walk of life. Even though we are working with those in the commercial sex industry, we have developed roles for everyone to fill. From children to senior adults, both men and women can be involved in some capacity, whether that's collecting donation items, stuffing gift bags, cooking meals, praying over an outreach, or serving on Security or Club Team. If you have time to spare, we can find opportunities for you to serve.
TALENT
Those with special skills have a unique opportunity to serve. Lawyers, doctors, artisans, counselors, photographers, bakers...you name it. We welcome anyone with a specific skill who can serve those to whom we reach.
MONEY
Financial resources allow Jesus Said Love to reach the marginalized. From sponsoring a monthly outreach to joining our support team on a monthly basis, we need partners who are willing to serve alongside us with financial resources.
INFLUENCE
Every single person has a sphere of influence: family, friends, colleagues, organizations, church groups. One of the strongest forms of awareness is using word-of-mouth to mobilize those within your sphere. This method of partnership has never been easier than it is today with the platform of social media. Whether word-of-mouth or word-of-social-media, influence is a way to impact the Kingdom work of JSL. You can also influence your sphere by wearing apparel from Lovely Enterprises! There you will find fair trade, socially responsible, and ethically sourced fashionable apparel and accessories to start conversations about loving the marginalized.
