February was a month full of God’s faithfulness. We know God is ALWAYS faithful, but this month we witnessed his provision in even the smallest details. He continues to mobilize volunteers, provide resources to women in need, and pour wisdom over us when we ask. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Psalm 57:10
This month, volunteers from across the metroplex came together to share love in a tangible way. For our February outreach, our LOVE team volunteers made chocolate covered strawberries, and Stems of Dallas provided roses. We attached each rose to a Valentine card with handwritten scriptures (crafted by First United Methodist Church in Bedford). The night of the outreach began with fervent prayer. We consistently asked that the Lord would draw us directly to those He desired in order to make Himself known to them in a personal way. As we entered the first club, we immediately felt the overwhelming darkness, but the Lord swiftly redeemed our hearts and minds by allowing sweet conversations. We had a great time with the women, but God specifically led us to pray and encourage the House Mom. We often talk with this House Mom about Jesus, but never had the opportunity to actively pray with her… this night we did. We prayed with her and over her, laying hands on her with love and speaking words of life and encouragement to her heart. We all had tears in our eyes as we hugged her goodbye. Please pray that the Lord continues to work in her heart.
The night ended with another specific opportunity to encourage one of the Assistant Managers. He will be undergoing extensive surgeries in the next few months, and we have been praying for ways to encourage him through hospitality and our LOVE team. A club team member spoke truth and life into him as we were leaving the club, reminding him we are praying for him and available to provide meals for his family. Please pray for him as he undergoes multiple procedures. Pray that we will have the opportunity to extend hospitality to him during this time and that the Lord will use these opportunities to plant seeds for the gospel!
We are also continuing to walk with a woman named Sarah as she transitions out of the industry. Please pray that God would provide her with a place to live and a job as an LVN. If you have any interest in helping or have any job leads, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also pray that God would use this opportunity to reveal His faithfulness to her in a personal way while building her trust in Him. God is faithful!
Finally, one of our volunteers recently stepped out in faith to help a dancer in need. She rallied her friends together to serve and encourage this single mom, giving her new hope for the future. Thanks to everyone who offered time, resources and prayers! You are the hands and feet of Jesus and consistently share His love to many women.
