We are excited to announce that Jesus Said Love is headed to Houston, Texas! This Christmas, we will embark on the first club outreach to the nation’s 4th largest city (boasting approximately 70 strip clubs). We look forward to spreading the love in this strategic location...as well as partnering and collaborating with the organizations already doing work on the ground. We are thrilled to introduce our new Houston CTL Sally Collier! Sally has been leading JSL Houston through the development stages (see more on Sally below!).
We also have two more new CTLs: San Antonio CTL Melanie Warren and College Station CTL Jean Marie Rich! Read more about them in the section below or click their photos for full bios.
As our Director of Outreach, Kellie Gibson oversees all of our City Team Leaders. At the end of the summer, Kellie will be moving from College Station to Waco! She will join the HQ team and continue giving leadership and direction to our growing number of City Team Leaders. Kellie recently finished her time as the original City Team Leader in College Station, handing the torch to Jean Marie.
Finally, Kelsey Yandura has been promoted to Director of Communications. Kelsey started with JSL as an intern, then upon graduating moved into a dual Executive Assistant/Communications Manager role. Kelsey has done such an excellent job with all of our communications! From social media to newsletters, Kelsey has really helped focus the “mouthpiece” of JSL. If you follow us anywhere on social media, then you’ve experienced the greatness that is Kelsey Yandura. We’re so glad to have her in an even larger capacity on our team!
We look forward to updating you more as we move forward in all 6 of our cities!
All our thanks,
Brett Mills | JSL Co-CEO
Introducing: 3 New City Team Leaders!
Houston | Sally Collier
After graduating from Texas A&M University in 2004, Sally has worked in Marketing and Network Marketing, and has served in Youth and Women’s Ministry. Sally is passionate about women of all ages and backgrounds knowing the God who created them and loves them fiercely.
San Antonio | Melanie Warren
Sensing a call to ministry after leaving the Air Force, Melanie has dedicated her life to seeking out those in need of God’s love, with the hope that it will change their lives as it did hers. She has a passion for empowering women of all ages and stages of life through bible study and mentoring.
Bryan/College Station | Jean Marie
In 2013, Jean Marie and her family moved to College Station. After a year and half of serving as a volunteer for Jesus Said Love, she believed God was calling her to end her 10 year working relationship with T Bar M to come on staff with Jesus Said Love.
The Issue of Belonging by Emily Mills
"It seems that from the very start of the summer, we have been handed stories of broken hearts, broken lives, and broken families...all fueled by the desire to belong. From Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner wrestling with gender identity to Rachel Dolezal’s new race identification, we are still wrestling with where we fit as the image-bearers of God."
