November Update: DALLAS
Our time in the clubs this month was a good reminder of the relationship we are building with other staff. Including house moms, managers, DJs, security, and valet. The Lord is so gracious to us as he allows us to be a part of the work He is doing and to take part in His joy.
We have developed good relationships with all the managers in the clubs. One particular manager was recently injured in a car accident. He will have to have a number of surgeries and an extensive amount of physical therapy in the next year. We are praying for an opportunity for the LOVE Team (hospitality) to serve him through providing meals. Please be in prayer for healing and a quick recovery.
Last month Anne met a woman at the clubs that was brought up in a religion that does not confess Jesus as Savior and Lord. When this young woman came to know Christ, her family disowned her. Anne has been walking with her since the last outreach. Here is a little of her story:
I met Sarah during our outreach last month. It was her sweet smile and the light in her eyes that caught my attention. We chatted a while and I learned that the light in her eyes was the light of Christ. She recently began her journey following Jesus but after a sudden financial crisis found herself walking down an old and familiar path. She was caught between old patterns of independence and her new life of dependence on her Savior. But God in his beautiful sovereignty pursued her down this old path. In fact, he planted us right in the middle of her path. I love the way God works!! Through prayers and conversations over the past few weeks, she decided to take a big leap of faith. She is now experiencing the LOVE of Jesus through the embrace and support of her church community. I am so thankful for the body of Christ and am always amazed that God allows us to be a part of the work He is doing!
We were humbled and honored to get to partner with Going Beyond Ministries and Priscilla Shirer for an incredible event called, ‘Awaken.’ Huge ‘THANK YOU’ to all of the women that donated to our Christmas Fill the Stocking outreach and stopped by the Jesus Said LOVE tables. To the Going Beyond Ministry staff and to Priscilla Shirer - ‘Thank you!’
We’ve been flooded with calls from women this month in crisis situations, needing resources and asking for assistance in getting out of the industry. Here are some of the situations along with the needs and ways you can pray with us. (Names have been changed)
